First spotted from a bit far, I saw a Tringa slightly smaller than totanus, but similar to nebularia in flight, with dark wings and white "cigar" mark on the back and into the tail. Overall pale bird, especially head and neck, with a slender bill. It flew away in the direction of some saltpans that are not accessible via the trails. A bit later, in another location, I saw another bird with a group of totanus (in a different direction than that in which the first bird flew). This one I got to see very well, in good light, with the legs showing their characteristic washed out yellow tone. Comparing the 2 birds, the plumage seemed slightly different, and one had a beak that pointed slightly down, matching the description and photos of the 2 different birds that have been seen here recently. Photos of both. First one here: 38.734495, -8.986795 Second one here: 38.740040, -8.987071
